We pride ourselves on prompt and accurate shipping of all orders. Most orders received by 2:00 PM (EST) Monday through Friday are shipped the next day. Orders placed after 2:00 PM are usually shipped the within 2 business days. Weekend orders will be shipped on Monday. 

Shipping and Handling

Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the weight and destination of each order. The shipping and handling charges for your order will be reflected at checkout Items marked "USPS Oversized" require additional freight charges. "USPS Oversized" rates are determined by package size. (See below for USPS oversize classification information.) The USPS Oversized rate will be reflected in your shipping and handling charges at checkout. 

Shipping and Handling charges may differ if shipping outside of the US. Duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer when shipping to Canada. For further questions about this, call 805-481-9459.

USPS Oversized Items

Oversize charges apply to UPS Ground shipments. Oversized means that it is large and lightweight, so instead of shipping charges being calculated on actual weight, an extra charge is applied according to how much space it takes up. If it is between 84 and 108 inches in length and girth combined, it is charged for as though it weighs 30 pounds (Class 1). If it is between 108 and 130 inches in length and girth combined, it is charged for as though it weighs 70 pounds (Class 2). If it is between 130 inches and 165 inches, in length and girth combined, it is charged for as though it weighs 90 lbs (Class 3). Length is defined as the longest package measurement, and girth is the width x 2 plus the height x 2.

These charges are incurred only when the oversized weight exceeds the actual weight. For example, a crate that adds up to 90 inches total but weighs 38 lbs would be charged at 38 lbs, not 30. However, an item that adds up to the same 90 inches, but only weighs 12 lbs, such as a food container, would be charged at 30.

Dimensional weight applies to air and 3 Day Select shipments only. Length x width x height divided by 194 equals the dimensional weight in pounds of an item. If the actual weight is more than the dimensional weight, the actual weight is what will be charged for.  In addition to the charges defined above, there is an additional $40 Large Package Surcharge for any shipment that exceeds 130 inches in length plus girth, regardless of ship method.
